This last Saturday, the CAS activity, related to literacy, officially began with enthusiasm and great spirit. People from different neighborhoods came to Colegio Britanico Internacional with the initiative to earn and reinforce their knowledge. This year the literacy group incorporated tutoring and English to the options given by the juniors and seniors. With the application of these new categories, the number of students increased considerably and it was necessary to add more CAS students to literacy, luckily the support from the other CAS programs was present and everyone was ready to help. Under the leadership of Andrea Nuñez, this group of committed students was in charge of the different groups of people from the community, which were divided according to their age ranges to let the CAS participants know what to teach each age group. This year the kids and teenagers will be able to have English classes with the juniors and seniors as teachers. The CAS program lead by this new group of students will open these classes for young people, opening new opportunities for the kids and teens from the community. The activities for these new groups will include interactive and entertained programs to combine the education with fun. The commitment by both parts will be important to see progress, but the CAS students have shown a large amount of dedication and potential so the results will be very satisfactory. The opportunity to teach, learn, and share beautiful moments with the community is an amazing experience for the juniors and seniors from CBI and the bonds of friendship and fellowship they have developed with the community are enriching their lives.
